Resume: As part of the Global Initiative "Feed the Future" implemented by the Government of the United States, the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Program contributes to reducing poverty and improving food security in Central America, by improving the effectiveness of policies that positively impact the environment of rural agribusinesses and promoting the adoption of technologies and good practices for sustainable agriculture. This Program is implemented by the Regional Unit for Sustainable Rural Development (RUTA-administered by UNOPS) of the Central American Agricultural Council (CAC), and its prioritized countries are El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
